ADD CREATIVITY TO LEARNING WITH ‘STEP AND LEARN’

Interactive Floor for Learning

An award winning interactive floor for a differentiated learning experience

November 30th, 2017: Educators today find it tough to match the imagination of kids, especially in the Pre-K segment, as creating new learning games and exercises is not easy and a very time consuming task. Identifying the need, Eupheus Learning, an EdTech startup in the education and training space is proud to bring a path-breaking, highly valuable supplement to classroom teaching, Step and Learn, powered by Wizefloor, an award winning interactive floor from Denmark. The solution has been developed by Aarhus University and the Alexandra Institute in Denmark.

With focus on kids from 3 to 12 years and also with special needs, Step and Learn promotes collective and differentiated learning styles and needs through play and physical activity.

Speaking about the association, Kaspar Rosengreen, Principal Software Architect, Alexandra Instituttet A/S and Product Manager, Wizefloor, said, “We at The Alexandra Institute A/S use breakthrough tracking technology, which is supported by scientific research. Based on almost nine years of research and development, this interactive product stimulates the sensory system by staging a playful atmosphere for movement, and it improves collaboration and teamwork among children from a young age. Our objectives resonate with those of Euphues Learning as we also believe in creating stimulating learning experiences for children through differentiated solutions.”

With Step and Learn, it is possible for teachers to create learning games and experiences customized to the needs of their individual school.  The games are projected onto the floor from a projector mounted to the ceiling and the kids use their hands and feet to interact with the floor ( via a motion sensor), which allows them to solve the games. Step and Learn allows multiple children to play simultaneously, encouraging collaboration from an early stage.

Sarvesh Shrivastava, Managing Director and Co-founder, Eupheus Learning said, “Our vision is to offer pedagogically differentiated technology driven solutions to the Pre-K to 12 segment. Step and Learn is a proud recipient of a Red Dot Design Award as “Best of the Best in Education” under the name Wisdom Well. It offers the key to the best kinaesthetic mode of learning for kids of the age group of 3-12 years, as it improves their learning by activating the gross motor functions.”
